TurboSquid RegionRenderer 3dsmax 9 | 0.4 Mb RRtool works by capturing MAX`s Rendered Frame Window (VFB) and placing it in region, drawn in viewport. Installation:
1. Copy rrmxs*.dlx extension (were "*" - is a MAX version) to 3dsmax*plugins directory. 2. Now run 3dsmax and run the script by choosing MaxScript-> Run Script: RRtool.mcr
The script should appear in Customize-> Customize User Interface-> Category ->Render:"Region Renderer". Now you can bind the script to keyboard button, assing it on toolbar, or append it to quard menu..
Uninstallation:

Workflow:
Region Renderer tool (RRtool) - allows you to render scene directly in viewport by drawing and manipulation of region. RRtool works by capturing MAX`s Rendered Frame Window (VFB) and placing it in region, drawn in viewport. Besides has a build in functions to update (re-render) region based on user manipulations.
U activate and deactivate Region Render mode - by pushing binded button (reccomended) or toolbar button. To draw region with just push the toolbar-button or shotcut you assing it to - and draw a restangular region in any viewport. Render Method:
- Automatic: this is recomended method of region rendering.
With it ON - script desides by itself how to render scene, based on the fact - if its Hairs in viewport or not. This is important - coz in MAX 9 - hairs wont render with any render type (region, box, blowup, view etc.), other that #view.
In fact there are two methods of rendering in region: Method 1. By rendering trough #cropSelected render type (wont work with Hairs - but faster and accurate) Method 2. By building "Black Box" mesh around region of render - to hide the parts that should not be rendered. And by using standart #view render type. This method is the only way to render Hairs in region - but its bot fast and recomended to use with Hairs only.
- Method 1: - forces method 1 rendering. - Method 2: - forces method 2 rendering.
Notice: Hairs - won`t render by Brazil renderer with any method.
Interaction Method:
Turning any of this options on will force script - to update region based on different kind of interaction:
- Viewport: any viewport manipulation (dont work in manipulation mode) - Interface: any Interface manipulation: spinner values changed, checkboxes checked etc. - Region: any region manipulation - resizing, moving..
Reset VFB/Progress window button - this button should solve the problem of finding 2-main render windows - in the case when Script crashes on render.
